Hanna, chairman 'of the National, Republican committee, tonight issued the-following) call for the next Ttepublican ' National convention ; "To the Republican Electors o the United States: In accordance with established es-tablished custom, and Jn obedience to Instructions of the national convention of lflOO, the National Republican committee com-mittee directs that a national convention of the delegates and representatives of the Republican party be held at Chicago, In the State of Illinois, for the purpose of nominating candidates for President and Vice-President, to be voted for at tho Presidential election, Tuesday, November No-vember S, 1001, and for tho transaction of such other business as may properly come before It, and that said convention shall assemble at 12 o'clock noon on Tuesday, the 21st, day of June, 1001. 'Thc Republican electors of the several Slates and Territories, the District of Columbia, Alaska and Indian Territory and all other electors, without regard to pnrty affiliations, who believe 'in the principles of the Republican parly and Indorse Its policies, are cordially Invited to unite under-this call In the "selection of candidates for President and Vice-President. Vice-President. "Said national convention shall consist con-sist of n number of delegates-at-largc from each State, equal to double, the. number of United States Senators to which each State is entitled, and for each represontatlve-at-largo In Congress two delcgates-at-large. From each Congressional Con-gressional district and the District of Columbia two delegates; from each of the Territories of Arizona. New Me::Ico, Oklahoma and Hawaii and Indian Territory, Terri-tory, six delegates; from Alaska, four delegates. 3'or each delegate elected to the convention an alternate delegate shall be elected at the time and in the manner of electing the delegate. "All delegates shall be elected not less than thirty days before the meeting of the national convention. Dclcgates-at-large shall be elected by popular Stale and Territorial conventions, of which at least thirty dayo notice shall have been published In some newspaper or newspapers news-papers of general circulation in the re spective Males and Territories. CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATES. "The Congressional district delegates .shall he elected by conventions called by the Congressional committee of each district In the manner of nominating the candidate for Representative in Congress Con-gress In said district, provided that in any Congressional district where there Is no Republican Congressional committee commit-tee the- Republican State committee shall appoint from tho Republican residents resi-dents .In such district a committee for the purpose of calling a district convention conven-tion for tho purpose of electing delegates for the representation of the district. "The election of delegates from the District of Columbia shall be held under the direction and supervision of an election elec-tion board, composed of Chapln Brown, George II. Harris and John F. Cook. Such board shall have authority to fix the date of such election nnd to arrange all details and regulations Incident thereto, and Fhnll provide for a registration regis-tration of the votes as cast, such registration regis-tration to Include the name and residence resi-dence of each voter.
