ariinent were treated to a surprise during the week when they called to see the exhibit of work done In the year Just brought t a close The wall of the art roomu for a distance of several sev-eral feet above the wahuicotlng 1 were Itcrally covered with sketches In pencil pen-cil pen and ink charcoal water color md oil while on the table wore dozens doz-ens of plaster casts of medallions and bust cone by the pupils In the modeling mod-eling department 1 The arrangement of the collection was most artistic and called forth many cxpicsslons of up roval Not Copies But In the mint of the Friday tho Harwood bronze modal was awarded to Miss Miriam Brooks the successful competitor compet-itor In a charcoal drawing contest of a statue of Hebe There were twelve competitors nnd the work of all was most credllable lime drawings were all I on exhibition and were much admired by time visitors Fino Landscape Work Perhops the most creditable single collection nhown was that of OwinG Shcckel
