| Show DANCES IN SCHOOL HOUSES Powers of Trustees Considered by the Supreme Court A case involving the rights and powers pow-ers of school trustees was argued in the Supreme court yesterday The case was that of Lewis Lewis against T J Bateman and Benjamin Bates The last two named as trustees of the Alpine Al-pine district In Utah county rented the school building for a dance The seats were disarranged and the building was otherwise damaged The plaintiff brought suit in the Fourth District court asking for an Injunction to restrain re-strain the trustees from renting the school building for such purposes Judge Marloneaux rendered a decision in favor of the defendants and denied the application for an injunction The plaintiff appealed to the Supreme court J W N Whltecotton argued the case yesterday for lhe1 appellant Tho respondents submitted their case on briefs without argument |
