Show Mrs. Cal Huntsman was hostess hos-tess last Thursday at a family dinner party honoring her daughter, dau-ghter, Joan, who celebrated her second birthday. Mrs. Louis Babcock of Ogdeii spent Saturday and Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Nerd in. Mrs. Arne Berg and son, Douglas, Doug-las, and Conrad Holmes, all of Los Angeles, and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Holmes of Salt Lake City, former Bingham residents, were guests Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Granquist. Miss Hazel Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Morris, plans to loHve Saturday for Portage, Port-age, near Logan, in Boxelder school district, where she will teach first grade this year. Mrs. James Culleton and children, child-ren, Jimmy and Molly May, returned re-turned Tuesday evening from an extended visit in Pasadena with Mrs. Culleton's mother, Mrs. M. F. May. LOCALNOTES Mrs. Charles Ivie of Green-river Green-river is a guest this week of her daughters, Mrs. Eloise Cahoon and Mrs. Lillian Bellows. Miss Ann Pollick and Gates Christensen visited Mrs. Pearl Christensen of Richfield Sunday at the Newhouse hotel. Pete Smith of Copperton underwent un-derwent an operation for an appendix ap-pendix removal at St. Mark's hospital in Salt Lake City Wednesday. The auxiliary to the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 659 met last night at the Masonic hall with Mrs. Jack Davidson as hostess. Donna Gay Dowd, talented young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Dowd, will be on the program of the Women's club President's tea at Park City this afternoon. Donna Gay will sing, "Over The Rainbow", and "Moon of Manakura". Mr. and Mrs. Bill McConnell had as guests this week Mr. and Mrs. Webb Nelson of San Diego. The Nelsons intend to make their home in Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Carpenter and children, Ray and Sheila, of Los Angeles left Sunday for their home after visiting here two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Josh Carpenter. Mrs. Bert Faddis of American Fork left Sunday for her home after visiting a week with her son, W. L. Faddis, and family. Mrs. Stella Shea of Eureka left Thursday for her home after spending a week in Bingham with her son-in-law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dunn, and family. Mr. and Mrs. J. II. Dunn of Tyler, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Dunn of Salt Lake City were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dunn. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Dowd and daughter, Donna Gay, spent Sunday and Labor day at Boulder Bould-er Dam. |
