It seems from the act of the National Secretary of the Socialist party when he nullified the action of the recent Socialist State convention in Utah that the Socialist party is in leadingstrings Citizens cannot meet untrammeled and form that party hold conventIons at their will and pleasure and take such action as seems good to them But there is a charter making a society of the Socialists and not a party in the ordinary sense It sems curious to see this sort overruling dictation In a free country but If that t Is the baals of organization I or cure those who go into it muaL submit But what a jolly row it would 1 make If I somebody especially some one outside of the State should undertake to annul the proceedings of a State convention of Republicans or Democrats
