Show SIGNS TH CONTRACT Copper Belt Railway Will Transport tho Boston Cons Ores A contract for the transportation OH its entire output under the agreement between the Boston Con of Bingham and the Clngham Con for the treatment of its ores at the latters furnaces was yesterday signed by President New house with the Copper Belt Railway company the active movement of it over that route to begin on or before November 10th While the contract with the railway company comprehends compre-hends a period of but two years as docs that with the smelter I Is not at all unlikely that it will be renewed as the management is Inclined to favor the rail as a medium over which to roach the furnaces Certainly it entails fewer annoyances than the average tramway relieves the company of an element of risk and when all is told is perhaps as economical as arc means afforded by a tramway that fails to tram Before the expiration of the contract the Copper Cop-per Belt railway whose over tracks nearly 1GOOOO tons of Boston Con ore will pass will have been afforded an opportunity to demonstrate this and that It will succeed the management is in no doubt To move the increased tonnage from this bonanza and the Yampa mines with which the company has also contracted the management will have added another locomotive to Its equipment in a few days and with this on the rails the producers of the big copper camp will be at liberty to further emphasize their greatness To hasten the connections with ore bodies awaiting it Manager McVlchie will leave for camp this morning and all the persons it Is possible to profitably work will be rallied Of the enterprises conceived at Thing ham not one IB doing any more to promote pro-mote Its rapid growth than Is the Copper Cop-per Belt railway and certainly its owner William Bayly of Los Angeles is entitled to every clement of support the camp can afford |
