Show EUREKA l r d J HI I YOUNG MAN IN TROUBLE Fay Herron Arrested In Eureka Wanted in Toocle TRIBUNE SPECIAL Eureka July IS Sheriff Robert Shields of Toolle count arrived here today to-day and upon his return on the afternoon after-noon train took with him Fay Herron who Is wanted In that part of the State on a chase of having had improper relations I who la under lations with a young girl the age of consent Herron was arrested ar-rested here last night by Sheriff Dan Cronin who had been furnished with a description of the man by the Tooele county olllcer The prisoner declares that he is Innocent of the charge SCHOOL CENSUS W C Dewar today finished the school census report for the present year In Eureka school district No 5 there are 9 children within the school age that Is between C and IS years This is an Increase over the previous year of about thirty names TAy LEVY FOR YEAR At the City Council meeting held last night the tax levy for the year 1903 was made The levy will be 15 mills divided as follows 5 mills contingent expenses 6 mills for street fund 2 mills for water fund and 3 i mills for sinking fund The lust named fund Is for the redemption of the bonds which were Issued by the city to Install a water system Each year 2000 Is deposited In this fund The tax levy for the year 1902 was 8 mills The City Council decided to assess each of tho secret societies of the camp H to go toward paying for the water system In the city cemetery This assessment as-sessment will not be levied upon the lady organizations The cost of extending extend-ing the water system Into the cemetery was 5360 |
