Show POLITICS IN EASTERN UTAH Judge Johnson Solid for Renomina tion Talk of Other Offices TRIBUNE SPECIAL 1 Price May 24It seems to be the consensus of opinion in the counties of this the Seventh Judicial district that Judge Jacob Johnson can have a re nomination for the Judgeship at the hands of the Republican convention for the asking His home Sanpete county is solid for him and so far there has been no ono else named In the other counties of the district for the honor In time matter of the District Attorney ship there arc two Republican candi dates in the Held F K Woods the present pres-ent Incumbent of the office by appointment appoint-ment of Gov Wells and W D Living ston who it is recognized is deserving of something at the hands of his party Hon L M Olson who at one time represented this Senatorial district in the Legislature it is said by some of his close friends will be a candidate for tho Senate this fall on the Democratic Demo-cratic ticket Carbon county is en titled by usage and custom to the nomination this time and it is believed Mr Olson can be urged to run He will it is stated have the solid support of tile Kintah county delegation and as It Is upon this county that the Senatorial district depends for its majority that county will cut a considerable llgure In naming the man The district is at present represented by Hon Reuben C Miller a Republican and a large sheen and wool man According to his friend iron Harry A Nelson will be again nominated by the Republicans for County Commis sioner on the Republican ticket Hon Chauncey H Cook of Spring Glen is I also prominently mentioned for time place S Thcro is a spirited contest already for the Republican nomination for Sheriff I with B F Coffey of Castle Gate Tobe Whitrnore of Price and Frank N Olson ot MneMIIo already in the field and others to hear from I |
