Show SPLENDID PATRIOTIC IETINGHELO HERE Eulogizing George Washington, the father of his country, Judge George Ballif, of Provo, delivered a splendid address at the patriotic meeting held at the Central school auditorium Thursday evening, February Feb-ruary 27. Judge Ballif talked of Washingtpn as a citizen, an officer and a president, presi-dent, and stressed the great statesman's states-man's ability to stand up under severe se-vere trial and criticism, and his wonderful gift of leadership. With all of his genius, the speaker stated, Washington was still a very human person. Dr. Paul S. Richards presided at the meeting which was sponsored by the various civic groups of Bingham. Bing-ham. The program included: Prayer, by Principal J. J. Brown; Advance of the colors, by Sons ot the American Legion; selection, "Flag Without A Stain," by the Parent Teachers chorus; " Star Spangled Banner," by the high school band; patriotic reading, "The Perfect Tribute," by Miss Addle Wright; selection by the high school band; "America the Beautiful", by P. T. A. mixed quartet; benediction, by Mr. Sheen; retiring of the colors, by Sons of the American Legion, |
