Show WHO KILLED LOUISE FROST COLORED MAN ARRESTED WHO IS CHARGED WITH CRIME Ho Was in Limon on Afternoon tho k Horrible Crime Was Committed Ho Will be Taken There at Once f I V V Denver Colo Nov llA dispatch from Limon Colo says Search for the murderer of Louise Frost was continued con-tinued today The town was divided V Into l districts and a search was made of even hpuse barn and outbuilding VV In thC place The deputies were divided di-vided Into four squads beginning at the outskirts and working toward the 1 center V V 1 V Before the search was continued thirty V thir-ty minutes a squad In charge of Deputy Depu-ty Elmer Bloss discovered the remains of a fire where clothing had been burned Sheriffs Freeman and God dard and Chief of Police Henry of Colorado Colo-rado Springs made thorough examination exami-nation of the ashes and found the buttons but-tons to a coat pants and suit of underclothing un-derclothing and other evidence sum dent to recognize the owner of the I clothing although hla name will not bo made known until an arrest can be be made I Later a pair of shoes were found which showed bloodstains although they had been covered over with a coat of grease Subsequently the officers I offi-cers found a trail going to the place and the shoes fitted the tracks exactly I The same trades were found coming toward Limon evidently at a run and they are believed to have been made by the same shoes By this the suspect Is believed to have hidden In tho lane ia the afternoon as he cannot be accounted ac-counted for at the time of the murder and then returned changed clothes and joined In toe search with the otjiers I He had left town when this evidence was found but the officers have him located lo-cated V Excitement Is gradually subsiding and it is thought that all suspects can be kept at Hugo In safety and that no lynching will occur unless positive evidence evi-dence can be secured or a confession extorted Sheriff Goddard of El Paso county Chief of PolICQ Henry of Colorado Colo-rado Springs and Sheriff J W Freeman Free-man nre directing the search Tonight l the force vcms augmented by Marshal I Camp and a detective from Greeley Three negroes who had worked with V a section gang Just previous to the V murder of little Louise Frost sdveral V days ago wore arrested In Denver today to-day A rigid sweatbox examination failed to elicit a reply I to the Inquiry as to their names They are being held for further Investigation V One of the three suspects Is named Porter He was laying oft the afternoon after-noon of the murder and hung around the barroom at the Llmon hotel until about oclock Thursday Two marbles V mar-bles found In the fire were Identified l by JL boy who saw Porter playing with them during the noon hour The clothes arc undoubtedly those of Porter Por-ter It is said that he has served a V term hi the reform school In Kan as V for assault before Sheriff Freeman said tonight that Porter would be brought Hugo on the first train V |
