Injured All the Injured men arc from Pocatello The worktrain conductor Jennings had stopped at Bancroft and had not 4 yet taken the siding when the freight L extra of which J Woods vips conductor 1s1 conduc-tor came along at the wf of forty iThI miles an hour and ploughed Into the caboose of tho worktrain The caboose and two heavy ballast cars were badly damaged and six other cars broken up Engine GOIi of the extra fell down the grade and is lyIng on her side A wreckingtrain carrying Dr O B Steely the companys surgeon and Superintendent E C Munaon vas immediately im-mediately dispatched from Pocatollo Engineer Taes was found to be badly cxidcd on the face arms and legs bin right ear was almost torn off and his I loft thigh broken Fireman Northrop was slightly scalded and sustained some minor Injuries while Brakeman Bullock who was riding on the engine had his neck sprained and was moro or less injured 1 the Injured men I were brought to Poeatello and this afternoon Engineer Taes was taken to I St Marks hospital at Salt Lake Dr I Steeley accompanying him There is I a hope or tho recovery of Taes but I in that event he will probably be crip I pled for life Conductors Woods and Jennings are of the opinion that Engineer Engi-neer Taes and Brakeman Bullock were asleep Tacs was set up only last Saturday Sat-urday and this was his second trip rl wreck caused I delay of six hours
