Show I CLUB WOMEN SALTAIR Ii I i Members of State Federation Have a Outing at Lake A very enjoyable outing was that given by the Utah Federation of Wo I mens clubs at SaUair yesterday While not many from outside towns and I cities were there the clubs of Salt Lake were well represented and all present seemed to have a delightful time tme A meeting of the traveling library committee was held and plans for the furtherance of the work along that linn discussed in an Informal way Among the probabilities in the traveling library libra-ry at no distant date are I reference library a case of distinctively American Ameri-can literature half n dozen or more of the best magazines sent out monthly with the cases of books and later English En-glish and continental literature each case containing the cream of literature of England and the various countries of Europe Resort Notes A Sundayschool excursion of 400 people went to Lagoon from Morgan City yesterday and had a very enjoyable enjoy-able time A nine from Morgan played u game of baseball with the Farming ton club the Morgan winning in 0 scort of 21 to 2 o S S The Sundayschool of the Nineteenth ward Salt Lake City to the number of 300 also had an outing at Lagoon yesterday A bicycle road race was a feature of the excursion Ten wheelmen wheel-men started and rode eight miles Charles Newton won the first prize and A Beesley the second i Tho Salt Lake Glee club under the direction of Evan Arthur will have an excursion to Lagoon today Mrs Joseph Wood and Mrs Frank BrownIng Brown-Ing will be among the soloists A very fine time Is expected I |
