Show BURIED SIDE BY SIDE Bodies of Three Wilson Brothers Laid > I Away in City Cemetery Side by side In the family plat at the City cemetery the bodies of the three Wilson brothers victims of the Scofleld disaster were laid to lest yesterday yes-terday afternoon The remains of Christopher Johnson another victim weiy also laid away in tho city graveyard I grave-yard The services over the Wilson boys William James and Alexander were held at the Sixteenth ward meeting house under the auspices of Bishop Ashton of the Twentyfourth ward The meetinghouse was crowded to overflowing with those who came to pay their last respects to the dead and the three caskets were literally burled from sight by the lloral offerIngs offer-Ings With the mourners sat the mother sisters and brothers of the dead After opening prayer and a hymn by the church choir Angus M Cannon addressed a few words of condolence to the bereaved and he assured them of the meeting on resurrection day I Charles Penrosc and John Nicholson also spoke sympathetically to those wno tutU most tneir loveu ones nntl consoled them with the thought that the parting was but temporary After the closing prayer the caskets wero borne to the funcial car The body of Alexander Wilson was In charge of a delegation from the Odd Fellows of which order the deceased was a member A cortege several blocks In length followed the bodies to the grave where brief services were held and the dead brothers consigned to the grave The services over the body of Chris topher Johnson were held In the Eighth ward meetinghouse The building was crowded and the lloral offerings were profuse and beautiful The dead man leaves a wife and several children who followed the casket to the burial ground Bishop Sheels had charge of the service and he offered condolence to U the bereaved ed The funeral procession proces-sion was a long one and at the grave services were held under the auspices of the bishopric |
