Wheel-men at Denver Is at the White house with Mrs Searles on a recreation trip Mr Searles has been examining lhop Salt Palace bicycle saucer and said of I II I yesterday l Is a very fast track but Jwas surprised to find It In such good condition considering the way J most of It Is put together Other tracks arc built solid and heavy like a bowlIng bowl-Ing alley and the timber bolted But here only part of the track Is built that way But then Mr Sharp tOld me that it Is carefully watched and kept In perfect repair so there Is never any trouble Wo have no saucer In Denver although there are more wheels to the square yard In that city than In any other city of the same size In thq United States But we hope to have a track next year Mr Searles Is a member of the National Na-tional Road Improvement association and said We are preparing for a wheel path from New York to the Pacific Pa-cific There is one now between New York and Chicago via Albany Buffalo Buf-falo Cleveland and Toledo and the main path westward will run via Milwaukee Mil-waukee and Prairie du Chlen to Omaha and then directly to Denver There Is now a good road to Pueblo and we expect ex-pect to reach Grand Junction south-ern Wyoming Is unusually good said James Began a Chicago dry goods man at the Knutsford yesterday This fall especially will see lively times there In nil business circles The sheep men are in high spirits Those who wanted to sell have sold their wool and those who are standfhg out for higher prices are well able to hold onto their goods until such prices are realized and everybody Is going to vote the Republican ticket The Stale will go heavily Republican In the fall Rawllns Is In unusually promising shape this year with the big accession to its trade from the Battle Lake country coun-try and there are so many people In town that rooms have to be spoken for a day In advance of occupancy The FerrlsHaggerty deal Is bringing that section to the front Laramie Is also having a big rush of business Green River Is packed with people In fat there is not a poor town In the whole southern part of the State a S That Idaho will go Republican Is avery a-very fair proposlllon said Col F J French of the Seven Devils at the Kenyon yesterday I believe the LegIslature Leg-islature will be Republican and of course Senator Shoup will succeed himself Een were the Legislature togo to-go Democratic I doubt very much if Dubois would be chosen Senator Dubois Du-bois Is a man without a political country coun-try or party and he Is politically deadM The Indorsement so called at Pocatello Poca-tello will do him no good It was worked through by political pulling and means nothing tangible Washington county is Republican this year and at our Blue Jacket mine where a vote was taken the other day It was twentyfour for McKinley to seven for Bryan There Is going to be a whole lot of sad sorrowful surprises for our Democratic friends In Idaho The Idaho Northern railroad takes afresh a-fresh start northward from Cambridge to Council In two weeks and when that extension Is built our mines will be Ihlrlyelght miles nearer the railroad rail-road James C Abdill who was singing tenor
