| Show ALARM AT CINCINNATI Impossible to Get a Hcssage to Scene of Alleged Wreck Cincinnati O Nov 26 Thcre has I been great apprehension tonight over a report about a Chesapeake Ohio passenger pas-senger train going through the Green River bridge near Hinton W Va All through wires on that line arty down Ian I-an It Is Impossible to reach Green I river or any point near it Messages have been sent to New York and elsewhere and that place cannot be reached from cither the east or the west Many messages have been sent by those who had friends on that road today aa it was not known what train if any went through the bridge but no response to any message has 1 been received and messages arc accepted accept-ed only I subject to delay Charles R Ryan assistant general passenger agent of the Chesapeake B Ohio railroad is here tonight and he discredits the story entirely He said there Was a bad landslide near one of n tho Green Biicr river bridges riot far from While Sulphur Springs and it has compelled the road to transfer pas U wcngers during the day Owing to the high water In the river attempt to I transfer passengers wasnindc tonight inid two trains that1 leffneretoday are L being held over night at Alderson west of Whltq Sulphur Springs and it Is I quite likely that trains are also being held on the other side of White Sulphur Springs There arc three bridges on this line over Green Brier river and the reports do not indicate at which bridge the accident 3 ac-cident occurred so that it Is quite likely like-ly that the reports were started because be-cause of the landslide near White Sulphur Sul-phur Springs and the fact that trains that were due both east and west of that point were not heard from on account ac-count of the wires being down Trains have been arriving and departing In Cincinnati on time with the single exception ex-ception of Uic Eastern express due to leave at 5 oclock which did not arrive until p JTI and It did not attempt the usual fast time It is said that the express due here at 8 oclock tomorrow morning is still on the other side of Green Brier river |
