Show I ATTORNEYGENERALS REPORT Review of tho Work of His Office for Past Two Years AttorneyGeneral A C Bishop submitted sub-mitted his biennial report for the two years ending January 7 1901 to Gov Wells yesterday The report shos that 109 written opinions have been promulgated from the office during the two years making a total during Judge Bishops administration of 401 The report gives as probable reasons for the decreased volume of business during dur-ing the last two years the greater familiarity fa-miliarity of officers with their duties the precedents which have been established estab-lished by decisions of the courts and to I opinions rendered by the AttorneyGen erals office A number of the more important cases handled during the last two years aro cited and the opinion opin-ion that the law providing for the system sys-tem of District Attorneys as compared with the former system of County Attorneys At-torneys will result in a better public service Is olfered In concluding the report Judge Bishop makes his official goodbye expressing his appreciation of the many courtesies extended him by fellow State officials particularly to his deputy w A Lee |
