Show E FUNERAL OF STEVENSON Unfortunate Electrician to bc Buried Today The funeral services oC Alexander Stevenson who met with death while working on an electric light pole on Saturday evening will be hold today at G oclock at the late residence oC tho deceased de-ceased 871 East Second South street There Is an Interesting document on file in the office of the Utah Light and I Power company Jn the shape of lila last I dally or nightly report it shows that during the night preceding the one on which he met his death hoattended to eighteen lamps which would Indicate that he had ascended that number of poles between S oclock at night and 5 oclock In the morning Jn each of these cases the work ho performed was similar simi-lar to that which he was engaged Jn when he met his death A friend of Stevensons slated yesterday yes-terday that some explanation should bo added to the statement published In yesterdays Tribune regarding Steven sons apparent carelessness In fixing n lamp In the store of the Smith Drug company a few nights before his death The friend who Is also an electrician says that Stevensons not turning the Hwltch of the lamp on that occasion was not an act of carelessness but that It Is necessary to allow the current cur-rent to remain on while adjusting the carbons the same being true In the ease where Stevenson was killed Tho friend also hud a different theory to the one formerly announced as to the cause of Stevensons death He suggested that the rain of Saturday had made the pole sufliciently damp to ground the current and that Stevenson received re-ceived the fatal shock by stepping upon the damp pole 0 The management of the Electric Light company has been the rounds of the circuits testing for possible ground circuits 0 |
