Show PUNEBAL OF E P NUGENT Services Held at St Patricks Church and Largely Attended Tho remains of Edward P Nugent the young student who died In this city July 26th were laid to rest In Calvary cemetery yesterday afternoon Preceding Preced-ing tho Interment largely attended funeral fu-neral services were held at St Patricks church The services opened with a song Nearer My God to Thee by the choir after which Rev Father Klely read the ritual and delivered n most beautiful and touching address I Father Klely spoke words of consolation consola-tion to the bereaved family taking for his text the words of Christ to the widow of NaIm And when he came nigh to the gate of the city behold a dead man was carried out the only son of his mother whom when the Lord had seen being moved with mercy toward to-ward her he said to her Weep not Father KIely also spoke of the martyrdom mar-tyrdom which the deceased young man bad suffered during the six I years that I he had suffered with the disease that I finally caused his death Reference i was further made to the fact that Mr Nugent was the flrst boy to servo at the altar of the little church after Its dedication eight years ago The choir sang Slabal Mater while the remains were being viewed The pallbearers were W S McKeaguo Gilbert Uannlgan P C Mahon M Boise E C Nutt and A J Kirk At the cemetery Father Curran recited tile last prayers and pronounced the benediction bene-diction V |
