Show UTAH WEATHER AND CROPS General and Frequent Showers uGavo the Ground a Good Soak L II Murdoch section director for Salt Lake of the Agricultural departments depart-ments climate and crop service reports re-ports for the week ending May 1st General and frequent showers occurred oc-curred during the week ending April 30th In the higher alllludes part of the precipitation was In theo form of snow The lotal precipitation ranged from threefourths of an inch to two Inches This unusually heavy rainfall has given the ground a thorough soaking and greatly improved crop I prospects The temperature was below normal all over the State but the departure de-parture was most marked In the southern south-ern section The mean temperature ranged from about forty degrees to fifty degrees No damaging frosts occurred 1 oc-curred Tho rain and the wet condition condi-tion of the soil permitted very little farm work Vegetation made very little lit-tle on account of the cool weather and the lack of sunshine but all crops continued in excellent condition con-dition Warm weather and plenty of I sunshine are now needed No change has occurred In the condition of the fruit crop which promises a large yield |
