Show iubllc Lone DJlnDC6 Telephones With soundproof booths Telephone I 1 building Stat < street city THE UNION BUTCHERS S THE OFFICERS ANNOUNCED AT f MEETING LAST EVENING One Object of Association is to Combine Com-bine Against DeadBeats Another to Get Better Meats I The Salt Lake Butchers association i held another meeting last evening and at its close It was announced that the I olllcera were as follows President John Ward vicepresident S S Dickinson treasurer Al Richardson Richard-son secretary J T Edward The hoard of trustees JB composed Messrs Mar riott Dickinson Weant and Myers lhere were thirty members present I last night out of about hlxtyflve butchers in the city but It Is I said that all tho dealers In meats both large and small are In sympathy with the movement move-ment Tin actual membership Is now about fortyfive Another meeting will be held next week One of the objects said a member last night is to protect ourselves so far as tho credit system is concerned It has become a habit with some to get credit at one shop as long as they can and then go to another A list prepared pre-pared by I the association will show the names of those who should not bo trusted and it Is probable that each member of the association will have not only the namo of the man who should not be trusted but also the I names of the butchers to whom he ii I indebted and the amounts due We I shall also endeavor to force the wholesalers whole-salers to give us a better quality of meat shall ask the City Council to protect pro-tect us against thc peddlers or venders who kill in the country under unfit sanItary J san-itary regulations and then hawk their meats around the city greatly to tho 1 detriment of the purchaser as well an the local butcher In fact we shall try and put tho butcher business on a higher plane than It has boon for sometime some-time past |
