ad-joining the Highland Boy I have had my eye on these mines for sometime believing that they would be very valuable valu-able in time for the Utah company and I called the attention of the management manage-ment to the matter Through my acquaintance ac-quaintance with the owner of the property prop-erty Joseph A Jennings I was able last November to secure an option on this property foi < 125000 After securing the option I offered It to the Utah Company on the same terms offered me without claiming any compensation the only condition which I reserved being that the Utah companys option would expire three days pievious to the expiration of my option and I did this so that in case I the Utah company did not take over the properly within the time specified I could do so for my personal account for I considered the property cheap at the option price and as the largest Individual In-dividual owner of Utah stock did not want to see the property in the hands of any one antagonistic to the coin pan The Utah company through COll 1i Broughton hns accepted within a fortnight fort-night my tender of the option I feel confident that they cnnont purchase the property for less than 125000
