Show To Our Customers and tho Public In order that you may understand the controversy between ourselves and the tailors union of tills city we here publish our reply to their demands sent through their committee I J clause relating to outside labor and the wages of bushelman Is stricken out of your bill we will accept your bIHvof prices for coats Under no con dtlons will we consent to dispense with the services of the few outside people we employ as we consider them essential essen-tial to our business and they In no way Interfere with union labor We offered a compromise on prices for pants and vests very little under their demands We refused flatly to have our business held down to the amount of work which could be done by a few union tailors In our shop for no matter how few men of that class we could obtain their bill would prevent pre-vent us from employing any other labor la-bor whatever While we admit that there are many good men In the union all union msn are far from being artists ar-tists whiil many good men are outside of their ranks We arc the oldest firm of highgrade tailors In the city and our customers may be assured that we will keep our work up to our usual standard but wo will Insist now and always on conducting our business in a manner that we think Is for the best Interests of ourselves and our patrons TV ALLACE CO |
