Show Chairman Bailey Announnces Information Center Opening i Chairman John M. Bailey announced an-nounced this week the opening of a press and information center at 1025 Fifteenth Street, N.W., ivWashington, D.C. igjhe center will be manned by experienced news and information informa-tion personnel, and will be responsible re-sponsible for assisting representatives represen-tatives of all news media in obtaining ob-taining information about the 1964 Democratic campaign. Robert F. Spence will be in charge of the center. He will be assisted by William Newbold and Ruth Butler, an experienced staff member of the Public Affairs Af-fairs Division. Copies of all information materials ma-terials distributed by the Democratic Demo-cratic National Committee will be available at the center. News inquiries to the center can be made, Code 222, 333-8750. Personnel will be available to handle inquiries seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The center cen-ter itself will open from 9 a.m. to midnight, Monday to Friday. Facilities will be available at the center for listening to major speeches of President Johnson and Vice Presidentian candidate Humphrey over a direct telephone tele-phone hook up between the center cen-ter and the place where speeches are delivered. |
