Show Utah Rocket Unit Installs Officers The Utah Section of American Rocket Society recently installed new officers at a dinner meeting held at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City. Joseph H. McKenna of Thiokol Chemical Corp., Utah Division, was installed as president presi-dent of the Utah chapter. In addition to Mr. McKenna, other officials installed included Dr. Loren Morey of Hercules Powder Co., vice president; Dr. Irvin S. Swigart, University of Utah, member of the board of directors; and John P. McGovern of Thiokol, program chairman. Dr. Harold W. Ritchey, Thiokol Thio-kol Chemical Corp., was the installing in-stalling officer. Dr. Ritchey is vice president of the national chapter of the ARS. It was recently re-cently announced that he will head Thiokol's operations center to be established in Ogden. Richard E. Horner, associate administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Adminis-tration, was the featured speaker for the meeting. He is responsible responsi-ble for the general maangement of the NASA's laboratories, research re-search centers, rocket testing and launching facilities, and a world network of tracking stations. Mr. McKenna succeeds C. S. Roberts, also of Thiokol, as president presi-dent of the Utah Section. Mr. McKenna served as program chairman prior to being elected to the executive post. |
