Show Brigham City Plans Earl Ferguson Day An entire community and a host of former athletes will tip their collective hat to the dean of Utah high school coaches May 19 when Brigham City observes "Earl Ferguson Day." Plans for the town-wide tribute were announced by Walter G. Mann, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce committee making, arrangements. In addition, the Brigham City Council issued a proclamation officially dedicating dedicat-ing the dayto the long respected mentor. A banquet and open house will mark the occasion with invitations invita-tions already sent to more than 350 ex-lettermen who played under un-der Ferguson at Box Elder high school. Former assistant and opposing op-posing coaches are being asked to attend. The dinner will be held at Morris Mor-ris and Keith Nuttall's Tropical restaurant with an open house to follow at the L D S Fourth Ward recreation hall. |
