Show Miller Replaces Sullivan in University Play Robert A. Miller, who starred in a recent University of Utah Theatre production of Dam Yan-ke, Yan-ke, Macbeth and Janus, has been cast in the role of Lord Essex in the forthcoming Kingsbury Hall production of Elizabeth the Queen. Robert Hyde Wilson, director, announced that Mr. Miller replaces re-places Liam Sullivan of Hollywood Holly-wood who was unable to appear due to serious illness. Mr. Miller will play opposite the well-known well-known character actress, Mildred Mil-dred Dunnock. Mr. Miller recently has completed com-pleted appearances in two TV films, Wells Fargo and the GE Theatre, both national TV network net-work shows. Prior to his distinguished dis-tinguished performances in University Uni-versity Theatre productions, Mr. Miller was a featured player in the Magic Rain Theatre of the Portland Repertory Company in Oregon. He has also done considerable con-siderable live TV work. Mildred Dunnock, nationally known for her many character roles in Broadway hits, movies, and network television, plays the title role of Queen Elizabeth. She has recently been featured in such movies as Death of a Salesman, Baby Doll andl Peyton Pey-ton Place and in Broadway hits such as Another Part of the Forest, For-est, Death of a Salesman and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Costumes being created by designer de-signer Sereta Jones all will be styled in the colorful middle-Elizabethean middle-Elizabethean period. During a European tour in 1950 Mrs. Jonse secured many beautiful color prints of costumes of the various periods and the Queen Elizabeth costume will be a copy of an original color painting by Holbein which Mrs. Jones secured se-cured in Paris. The famous red wig worn in Broadway productions of the Queen will be worn by Miss Dunnock Dun-nock in the show. |
