Show ' Utah's Grosscup Starts Workout; Will Play With Giants in S. L. The New York Giants pro football foot-ball team will be knee deep in quarterbacks next week when Utah's own Lee Grosscup joins his teammates at Winooski Park, Vt., next week. Besides the two old "standbys," Chuckin' Charley Conerly and Don Heinrich, Coach Jim Howell has Frank Gifford, the talented halfback, who announced he will try to beat out Conery and Heinrich Hein-rich for the No. 1 passing and signal calling spot. In addition, the team picked up George Shaw, the former Oregon Ore-gon Ace, from Baltimore. Grosscup, former All American, will join the team after appearing appear-ing in Friday's college all-star game in Chicago. All that will make for an interesting in-teresting battle among the five Giant quarterbacks when New York plays the San Francisco 49ers in the University of Utah stadium September 19 at 8 p.m. in the Tribune-Bleacher Quarter back professional football game.
