Show CLINTON Mrs n 1 Mary King Baron was wae honored hon hon- honored honor ored or at open last Friday Oct at the home of her r son law and daughter laughter Mr and Mrs George BeU in Clinton The occasion was washer washer washer her birthday Friends and rel Iel relatives IelI I called during dur ng the hours of 1 p p. m. m m and nd d 1 8 p. p m. m Mrs Barton Darton daughter of Enoch and Mary Muy Ware King was born in m Layton then Oct 4 1855 She was the first white girl born in Layton and anti except for a afew afew afew few years in Ogden she he ha has hac lived d din in Davis county all her life Oct Od 4 1855 she was married marri d to toPete toPete Pete Pet Barton in the old oM endowment house in Salt Lake City In 1903 she and her family moved to Syra Syra- Syracuse Syracuse cuse where her husband died Dec 12 1925 She then lived Jived in Ogden and in with I her daughter Mrs Catherine but upon the atter s death March 28 2 1936 she went to live Jive with her ller daughters in Clinton She is the mother of 12 children 4 of whom are living as follows Mrs Huldah Smith of Ogden O den Mrs Naomi Hamblin of Clearfield Mrs Luella Bingham Bin ham and Mrs Emma Beus Be s of of Clinton During the first influenza epidemic she had two sons dead in her home in Syracuse at the same time namely Henry Henr Barton who died Dec 1918 1915 and Hyrum Barton who died Dec 1918 Then in the second epidemic a daughter Mrs Jeanette Barton Thurgood died Feb 14 1920 Mrs rs Barton has 43 43 grandchildren grandchildren dren and 6 64 great She is still hale haJe and hearty and spends her spare time making F braided rugs and quilts She has always been an ardent L.
