Show Park City Notes. Mrs. C. C. Whitehead and daughter are home from their Salt Lake visit. A member of Parkites attended the P.O. 3. of A. excursion to Provo, Tuesday. Alex Moffat is entertaining his nieces, the Misses Daisy and Lea Moffat of Salt Lake. Manager McGregor of the Crescent, who has been on the sick list in Salt Lake, is improving. im-proving. A picnic was induVged in by the Episcopalians Episco-palians Wednesday. The weather was fane and all report au enjoyable time. C. S. Austin has secured the agency for Park City for the East Waterloo and Norwood Nor-wood Place extensions in Salt Lake. Robert Brogelman and bride arrived in Park City Tuesday evening, and for the present are at the house of 0. B. Blaucbard. Judire Shields has been overhauling and correcting the registration list this week. A good many changes have been made thus far. Marshal Bennett and his corps of assistants assist-ants are a terror to all wrong-doers. The Park has reason to be proud of its police service. Satisfaction is expressed on all sides that W. W. Mackintosh received the appointment appoint-ment of general passenger and traflic agent of the Utah Central. On Tuesday tne public school board met and elected the following teachers for the" ensuing 3'ear: C. A. Short, principal; in-termed. in-termed. ate department, Miss Gitsch, Miss Manning and Miss Cunniugham; primary department, Miss Covert and Miss Jordan. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Brownlee, of Salt Lake, was buried Tuesday at I o'clock p. m. The little fellow was brought out from the city several days ago in the hope that our cool climate would benefit ben-efit him, but he was not able to recuperate, and died Monday night. The Eckert Opera company attempted to sing "Pinafore" here. The curtain rose on a small audience, which grew smaller as 'the show progressed. There were no stars with the company and but two of them, singers. Why such an organization should impose upon a trusting public is a mystery. A. J. Lessler has opened a roller skating rink in the basement of Lawrence's hall. The rink will be ooen to the public on Tues- day and Saturday evenings. Saturday afternoon after-noon will be set aoart for ladies and children, chil-dren, affording an excellent opportunity for beginners to perfect themselves, previous to their appearance before a critical audience. It is passing strange that so few people visit the Park City mines. Of course there are numerous visitors at the Ontario, Daly and Crescent, but these mines do not exhaust ex-haust the list of interesting places. Visitors will do well to remember that the May. flower, Anchor and Silver King afford excellent excel-lent opportunities for sight-6eeing. Despite the low price of the white metaT, Park City mines keep right on sawing wood-Keep wood-Keep your eye on the grand total of shipments ship-ments for this year and then put down another an-other mark to the credit of Utah's greatest camp. |
