Show BOARD OF EQUALIZATION. The Council Begins Its Work of Abating Tax Assessments. At the meeting of the city council last night, which sat as a board of equalization, Chairman Loofbourow, Bell, Simondi, Hardy, Evans, Lawson, Horn, Fallond, Kiel), Heiss and Wautland were presenL A breezy little discussion took place at the opening of the meeting, which was caused by Wantland proposing that a special committee be appointed to sift the merits of cases brought up. Horn, Loofbourow and Fallond each had faith in humanity and favored settling the matter right then and there, and with this understanding the board disposed of the following cases: Total An t.
