Show A Tiew Design in Sulkies. A pneumatic tire sulky, patterned after the original one in which Nanc-y Hanks made her famous record, 2.05, is now on exhibition at Studebaker Bros.' warerooms in this city. The pneumatic tire sulky has created somewhat of a furore among Eastern trainers aud driver, inasmuch as it has been practically demonstrated that it is at least live seconds faster than any other sulky made. The wheels used are similar to those of a safety bicycle and resemble that member of the silent steed from its tires to the ball bearings. Many advantages are claimed for this newly patterned vehicle, the chief one being that it will not swerve when driving upon a track at a high rate of speed. |
