Brocaded satin for princesse trains of bridal gowns have designs of large leaves of tropical plants, a single vine or else three vines forming the stripes of each breadth of the rich fabric-Cloth fabric-Cloth crowns and lar?e squares of cloth for folding upon turban framea have rosettes thrown up in silk moss. Rhine-stone pins are in rosette form, as also jet ornaments. Pins of white enamel, round and with screw-like forms, have an interior decoration of gold and silver. The same forms are seen in blue enamel. Empire sleeves of the high, round type grace the loveliest of evening gowns. If you are combining- lace with fur npon your winter garments, be careful that the former is substantial and of a rich, creamy tint. For winter merino hose are to be worn, the instep dotted with figures in silk in red, blue, orange, white and purple. They are much prettier than clocks. With low shoes or slippers they give the instep an appearance appear-ance of being even higher than it really is. The bonboniere cf silver has given place to one of ivory, with either flowers or landscapes land-scapes painted on the cover. "Tolstoi Russian braid" is a handsome trimming that will be much used on autumn traveling; and walking eostumes. |
