On Tuesday lust Hyrum Oilltcs, jr., the on of Hyrum (iillies of Lake View, narrow ly escaped losing his life. He was visiting at the residence of Johu Shep-herd on Provo bench. Mr. Shepherd was just starting out with a sleigh to go duck hunting on the lake. He had a loaded shot-gun lying in the sleigh, aud had just gone into the house for some article before start-ing. Young Hyrum was about starting home and had just got onto his horse. He noticed the gun lying in the sleigh, and cariosity seized him to examine it. He readied from his horse und.
