The army appropriation hill will probably bo taken up during the week. The postoifice building bills belug unlin-ished unlin-ished business in the senate, It will probably cost Its vote in a day or two. The military academy appropriation hill is on the calendar, calen-dar, und will be pressed upon the attention of the senators, the Indian appropriation bill urohably following. The committee on public lauds will endeavor en-deavor to secure action on the bill U protect pro-tect the rights of settlers on public lands, and it is confidently expected that the judiciary committee will report the judicial nominations during the course of the week, in which ease a lively contest will doubtless, occur in executive session over the nomination nomina-tion of Judge Woods of Indiana. Springer continues to improve rapidly and expect., to be on his feet again in a few days.
