DIPHTHERIA AT BINGHAM, Mirny People So Alarmed that They are Preparing to Leave the Town to Escape the Scourge, Tho Bingham Bnlltttn says: "The preva-lence of diphtheria in Bingham has caused considerable alarm, and several families have gone, and many other families are making preparations to leave. While there is due cause for alarm, It seem that the rush to get out of tOW& U unwarranted, as the dK case thus far is con lined to w here, it origin-ated- , every precaution is hciug taken to pre-vent its spreading, and at this writing those who were ill are appar-ently better. No doubt those who have already gone, aud are now getting ready to leave, have beeu subject to all the exposure they woi'hl have been had they remained here, and besides if any of them have been exposed, they may be the means of carrying the disease to other places, and, after all, there is a possibility of ruuniug iuto aomething equally aa bad. It is reasonable to suppose that many have been exposed, to the disease itself or a r of it, for the reason that on last Monday a week ago, little Pearl Roberts, at whose home the disease originated, attended school, and nut feeling well, went home, aud was immediately taken down.
