Show BINGHAM MINING NOTES. The owners of the. Kdrti mine are now having hav-ing their assessment work for 1802 done or that property. The operators of the Turntrren mine ara putting ore on the dump daily, but, ou account ac-count of bad roads, will not be able to ship ( until spring. I'cte Clays continues sinking the shaft on the McGurle placer patent and states that the ground looks more encouraging :s the work progresses. The shaft la now dowr between forty and fifty feet. Work is progressing lipcly on ilesr -s Yeadon & Heath's property, the Ophirtnlne up Markham gulch. A new strike Is daily expected in the shaft being sunk. It is now down between sixty and eighty feet. After a suspension of work for three weeks on the Eagle Bird, work was ui;aiu resumed the latter part of last week. Tile operators will continue to drive the tunnel, now in forty feet, ahead of the ledge, which it is expected will he reached in twenty live more feet. We understand that the operators of the Mammoth mine, In ButterQcld canou, are vigorously prosecuting the work on that ground. The incline la now down 'SSt feet, and a contract is let for sinking it tifty feet more. The vein followed by the incline is aid to bu fairly alive with rich ore and gives promise of developing into an extensive ore bdy. Mr. C. W. lleidel reports a new strike in the drift being run from the SOU foot level on the B'oad Ouage ground. The new llnd comprises a body of ore from eighteen inches to two feet in w idth, which assays thirty-nine per cent lead, It gold and 3.j0 ounces silver to the. ton. Mr. II. tells us that he haa now quite a larirc shipment of ore on the dump assaying twenty-four per cent lead and l!iH ounces silver to the tou, which he wiii send in about the 'JUth of this month. Work goes steadily ahead on lbs Sampson Samp-son ground. Another flue body af galena ore is reported to have been uncovered in the 600-foot level on that property in the past week. The work of driving a tunnel on the Sturlus i'u''S right ahead. The property is owned by (ieorgo K. Lee and is located just above the main business ccutci of the camp, main Kingliain lauou. The ground through which the tunnel is now passing looks very promising. |
