J The People of the Territory of Utah Send Greeting: Greet-ing: To Frank Herrick, Defendant. -yroU ARE HEREBY REQl IKED TO AP-X AP-X pear in an action brought agaiust you by the above named plaintiff in the District Court of the Third Judicial District of the Territory of Utah, and to answwr the complaint filed therein within ten days (exclusive of the day of service) after the service oil you of this summons sum-mons if served within this county : or, if served out of this county, but in this district, within twenty days; otherwise within forty days or judgment by default will be taken against you, according to the prayer of said complaint. The said action is brought to have a decree of this court dissolving the b inds of uiatrimony ex-istinii ex-istinii between the plaintiff and defendant, awarding award-ing plaintiff restoration of tier maiden name and sin li other relief as to this court may seem just. Above relief prayed for on the ground that defendant defen-dant did on the 2-sth day of September. 18M1, in Salt Lake City, l'tah, visit certain houseB of ill-fame ill-fame and did become an inmate of said houses and did commit adultery with some woman an inmate in-mate of said house, whose name is unknown to plaintiff: that defendant has trea'ed plaintiff in a cruel and inhuman manner by becoming violently enraged and striking plaintiff on the temple, knocking her down, thereby stuniiig her for the time: pTaintiff further alleges that said act cf ndultery and cruelty were committed without the c n-ent, conivance, procurement or previous knowledge of said plaintiff, and that as soon as she became cognizant of said act of adultery she refused to live or cohaliitate with said defendant. And you are hereby notified that if you fail to appear and answer the said complaint as above required, the said plaintiff will apply to the Court for the relief demanded therein. Witness, the Hon.
