Show , A Wreck on tho Alton. Kansas City, Feb. 8. A disastrous and fatal wreck occurred on the Chicago ,V Alton railway yesterday morning. As the result three men were killed aud a considerable amount of property destroyed. The, limited passenger train from Chicago to Kansas City ieft Centralis at ti o'clock behind t ine. Before reaching Larrahee, live miles we ', the train had attained a speed of trt live miles an hour. At Lurrubeo the switch o the siding had been left oj.en, and t lie trn n dashed through it and into a stock train standing on the siding. The engines came together with such a force that t lief were wedged together. The mail and baggage cars were derailed kit were not wrecked. The stock ears loaded with cattle were demolished and many cattle killed. Tho fireman ami engineer of the stock train were Instantly killed and the fireman of the passenger iraiu so severely injured that lie died within , hour. The baggageman of the pasaengi r train had an arm broken and the engineer of the passenger sustained s dislocation of the left knee. No passenger received es much as a scratch.
