Show A PARNELL DECISION. The Supreme Court Decides an Interesting Case in Favor of the Irishman's Aed Mother. PHIlk4.DK.PHIA, March 23. The supreme court, baa affirmed the decision of the court of common pleas of Philadelphia county in favor of Mr3. Delia Darnell, mother of the late Charles Stewert Harnell, administrator of the estate of Charlotte Smith. The facts upon which the question arose were as follows: fol-lows: In July, 1879, Charlotte Smith deposited with Delia Parnell $4"o8, to be devoted in her discretion to speculation in stocks for the benefit and risk of the owner. The money was anplied in accordance with this understanding, admittedly with good faith, but the speculations were unsuccessful aud the money lost. Mrs. Parnell kept the facts secret, and attempted to retrieve the losses by using her own money, remitting over 3000 to Miss Smith, allowing her to believe be-lieve the money the proceeds of her investments. invest-ments.
