Show fcteaudlnaTian Republicans, The meeting of the Scandinavian republicans re-publicans iu Social hail last night was large and enthusiastic. Speeches were made by John C. Sandberg and John Henry Smith. The latter spoke of the beneficial effects of protective tariff, aud compared the wages received by workmen iu the United Status to those of English workmen. He also dwelt at leugth upon the importance of the establishment aud rupport of local industries. The remarks of the speakers speak-ers were received with much earnestness. earnest-ness.
