George Ball, an old resident of this city, was recently foully murdered and his residence resi-dence lirod. Suspicion fell on William Ousley, a colored waiter of this city, and he and George Maddox atu under arrest. Ousley confessed that ho, Meddox, and one Collins, who was recently killed, committed tho crime. They intended in-tended to rob ISall without doing' violence, vio-lence, but 1 o alruggled and Maddox and t -oiiins int. mm over tne Heart several times and then stabbed him in the throat with a fork. After robbing the body they covered cov-ered it with straw and set lire to it whilo still alive, and then made their escape. |
