Sittoct, jr., appeared by Mr. Hood constable -of Sugar House in referonce to a deaf and dumb boy. Charles Snyder sworn and examined. ( H'der made admitting tha boy, Matliiiis Jaeckli, to infirmary. Assessor Lynch appenrod and stated that the maps in his office should he revised, re-vised, showing owners of properties up to January bii2. He was authorized to have the work dond. Thopetitiou of C. W. Burrows asking for relief from double assessment on certain property was presented by him. Selectmen Butler and Hardy were appointed a committee lo investigate roads, with power to act ia district number 7. 11. X. Shurtliff, roftd supervisor of district number 4, called attention to the road ou the extension of West Temple. Committee will investigate aud report. An order was made admitting J. William llymaos to the infirmary. Dauicl W. Bench was appointed supervisor su-pervisor of district. The petition of S. S. Jones et al. was laid over till further notice. The petition peti-tion of Hyrum Smith et al. was laid over. George Jackson, road supervisor of district 21, stated that the eaual on Fort Herrimau road over Salt Lake and Westeru canal needed attention. Messrs. Butter and Cahoon appointed a committee with power to act. Petition of John II. and Mary liin-man, liin-man, asking to be appointed superintendent superin-tendent acd matron of the county infirmary in-firmary was read. On motion of Butter, But-ter, seconded by Ilsrdy, the appointment appoint-ment was made. Mr. Cuminings, the present superintendent, will be asked to i eig by October 1st. The liquor bonds of G. R. Libby & Co., J. A. Connelly and C. M. Sickler were approved. It wa moved and seconded that the salary of A. J. Burt, sheriff, bo fixod and paid at the rate of $:)00 a year. The pauper account of JIOO.2'5, presented pre-sented by A. J. Burt, ami his expense account of $3 23, were allowed. The following appointments of ioad supervisors were made: C. T. Smart, of district 21; Herman Yeager, of dis. trict '1; Joseoh Nichols, of riittrict 1, aud Miles Romney, f district S8. Adjourned to Monday, September 2S, at 10 a.m. |
