It is a beautiful flower; and I wear it to emphasize the fact that it symbolizes the excellences of the individual character of Roswell P. Flower, your distinguished citizen. citi-zen. I know not, I care not, "what party managers may say. It is my right, and! reserve the privilege to myself to say pleasant pleas-ant things about' Mr. Flower, about Mr. Shechan and about every one on either ticket whom I know. It is my right, if I please, to say that Governor David B. Hill is a delightful delight-ful conversationalist and pleasant gentleman to meet. It is my right to call the attention of the people to the excellent things in the men aud in the measures of the opposing party. |
