Iliff of Salt Lake City yester-day afternoon gave a general statintical report of the progress of Methodism in Utah. They now have twenty-eigh- t mission stations, thirty-fiv- churches and chapels, fifty congregations, lSOU mem-bers. 10,000 hearers, thirteen parson-ages, thirty-fiv- Sunday school, twenty-si- x day schools, forty teachers, 1100 pu-pils aud have educated 0000 children. Their school property is worth IJ100, 000, churches 000 and parsonages aud homes $.), 000. Tho church collections for various purposes last year amounted to $tl.2"0. Of the university fund had been received and 3,48'.'.!)C expended, At the meeting of the board of direct-ors of the university last evening, the subject of Sam Small's accounts came up, but further discussion was deferred until this eveniDg when Small may be present aud account for the whole thing. 4- - The races at Wasatch Driving park were watched by a large crowd yester-day afternoon.
