The democratic meMing last evening left do doubt as to what the intentions of the party arc It is plain that it proposes to push its organization and make an etTart to dominntu ti.o politics of this city and tho territory at large. So far as the democracy is concerned, the liberal party has been abandoned. We understand that there ate individual individ-ual democrats who oppose it, but they are far in the minority. This condition of things should be sutliuient for all who have hesitated About joining the movement for republican repub-lican organization. Tho republican party is never in the rear in any fight and it will not be found lagging lag-ging in Utah. It is contrary to the spirit of the party to refuse a gago of battle; it is contrary to republican ideas of duty to have the party unrepresented in any contest where it should be engaged. en-gaged. The march has been taken np; the bridges are down and tho party will be found organized throughout Utah before many more weeks shall pass over our heads. The feeiing is abroad that Utah can be attached to tho republican standard, and the movement move-ment now well under way will swell until that result shall have been reached. |
