If there is one thing the public is justly entitled to it is efficient street car service. 'Tho other day a number of gentlemen boarded a car ou Main street to proceed to the Union Pacific depot to take a train. A car coming east on First South thought it had the right of way as did the car going west which contained the party referred to and also a number of women and children who intended going on the train. The conductors of these cars monkeyed like school boys, neither permitting the other to pass until some minutes were lost. 'The gentlemen jumped out and entered a cab and arrived nt the depot just in time to catch the train. The women aud children remained in the cir and were landed at the station after the train had gone. |
