Sheets, pillowcases, tablecloths and napkins should not be hemmed until they have first been shrunken; but before be-fore tho shrinking process each one should be made into its proper length. If this is done they will always fold evenlv when ironed, which is not tin: case if made up without shrinking, or if shrunken in t he piece, and then made into proper lengths. Sheets and pillowcases pillow-cases should lie torn by a thread; tablecloths table-cloths and napkins should be cut by a thread. Ida A. Wills in viood Housekeeping. |
