Nearly s thousand strikers attacked Friik's coke works at Morewood at 2 o'clock this morning. They destroyed the coko ovens and the railway tracks, and broke tho windows of several houses. Several of thu raiders were arrested. It is also reported that at Leisenrlntf . and the I.cith considorabla property was also destroyed. There is great excitement throughout the coke country and serious trouble is appreheuded. Tho trouble has assumed a new phase and nov threatens to do- ' volop into war between the operator! and the labor organizations. H. C.
