Show DARED EM Mil Brief Acquaintance and Courtship With a Traveling Salesman Suddenly-Develops Suddenly-Develops Into Love. 'TWAS A ROMANTIC WEDDING. . Two Representatives of Louisville and St, Louis Business Houses Join Hands in Wedlock. Terrb Haute, Ind., July 1. A ro-mantio ro-mantio marriage between a traveling man and a traveling woman took place here last night, the parties being W. A. Davidson, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Blanche W. Frost, who sells drugs for a St. Louis house. It was a case of love at first sight and marriage on short no. tice. While Mr. Davidson's home is In Indianapolis, he travels for the Force Tobacco company, of Louisville, Ky-Mr. Ky-Mr. Davidson and Mrs. Frost mot some eight months ago, and they have been corresponding since. She came to this city Sunday night, and ho arrived on Monday, Mon-day, and both stopped at? the National house. On Tuesday evening one of the clerks at the hotel escorted Mrs. Frost on a boating excursion down the river, and Mr. Davidson, peculiarly enough, was one of the excursion party also, On the boating excursion they morely spoke to each other formally. Yesterday Yester-day morning they walked out on the street together from the hotel, whon Mr. Davidson informed in-formed Mrs. Frost that he was ready if sho was willing. .She said she was willing. They then rode on the street cars to Collott park and attended a picnic, noither dreaming at the time, however, that they would be man and wife before sunset. But another incident, inci-dent, or rather accident, was destined to cut their courtship short. Instead of getting off the street car at the hotel corner on their way back from the park they grew absent-minded when their car approached that placo , nnd continned on till they were opposite the court house. As they were passing it Mr. Davidson said: "Hore is the court house and I dare you to go in with me to get the license now and get ' married this evening." She assented and they went in and procured a license, and in a short time were made one by Justice Felsenthal. It was the desire of both that the wedding be kept a secret, but it leaked out at the hotel this morning. Mrs. Frost will continue as tho traveling agent of her house till next Saturday evening, when she will quit the road for her domestic cares. The bride was born in Charleston, 111., and is 39 years of age. |
