E Evans at one onetime time one of the leading merchants of Bountiful operating in what is now Garrett Brothers store building died very early Sunday morning Sept 29 29 1946 following a very critical oper opel operation alien alion performed two or three months before She had been mak mak- making making ing In her home in Pasadena with her daughter Augusta up to the time of the operation after which she was taken to Rancho Los Amigos Hondo a place some fifty miles or orless orless orless less from Los Angeles where she after much suffering passed away Mrs Evans had resided in Pasa Pasa- Pasadena Pasadena dena some twelve or more years She is the widow of D. D D J. J J Evans who passed away before she gave ave up the store and moved to Cali Cali- fornia She is survived by two daughters Augusta Pasadena and Florain Williams the latter living in Mis Mis- Missouri Missouri where her husband is engaged ed cd in mining had been transferred there here several years ago by the min mining ing ng company he worked for in Park ark City one son D. D D J. J J Evans Los Angeles two step children Maurine Los Angeles and Rev Ellis Evans of Florida six grand grand- grandchildren grandchildren children one sister Mrs Lillian Pasadena and one half sister Mrs 1 Emily Call of Logan Utah She was the daughter of T. T J. J and Rebecca Stayner one ont time I owners of a n big bi business block on Washington boulevard in Ogden Utah Mrs Evans for a number of years was an nn operator in Boun Houn- Bountiful Bountiful telephone exchange when it was first started Funeral services and burial took place in Pasadena Calif Calir |
